Recipe: Refreshing Green Smoothie

Ingredients (for 2 glasses)

  • 1 ripe banana

  • 1 green apple (for a slightly tangy flavor)

  • 1 handful of fresh spinach

  • 1/2 cucumber

  • juice of 1/2 lemon

  • 200 ml coconut water (or regular water)

  • a few ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Peel the banana and cut it into chunks. Wash the apple and slice it (no need to peel if it’s organic).

  2. Place spinach, cucumber, banana, apple, lemon juice, and coconut water into a blender.

  3. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  4. Add ice cubes and blend briefly again.

For an extra energy boost, add a teaspoon of spirulina, chlorella, or a tablespoon of oats. If you prefer it sweeter, toss in a few dates.
